Remedy Entertainment has released an Altered State trailer for CONTROL Resonant, its upcoming sequel to Control. The new footage brings Dylan Faden into focus as he enters an altered Manhattan, searches for his sister Jesse, and confronts a crisis that has pushed the city’s defences past their limit.

Dylan steps out of Jesse’s shadow
The original Control made Jesse Faden the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, while Dylan’s story remained deliberately uncertain. CONTROL Resonant changes perspective. Dylan is now the central character, sent into a Manhattan warped by paranatural forces while Jesse is missing.
The trailer leans into that reversal. Dylan has been treated as a threat before, but now the premise asks whether he can become the person who saves the city - and whether regaining his humanity and finding Jesse can happen at the same time.
A larger, stranger Control
Remedy describes CONTROL Resonant as a larger, open-ended action-adventure RPG. Alongside its shifting Manhattan setting, the game introduces build-focused progression and Dylan’s shapeshifting melee weapon, the Aberrant. The goal is familiar to Control players - contain a reality-bending crisis - but the route through it is designed to give more room for exploration, side stories, and player-led combat choices.
